I am shocked how much I love the vegan food in Prague…
Honestly, I don’t exactly know what I expected when I headed to Prague. I had a press trip in Pilsen, and it’s only a hour away from Prague, so I figured What better time to check it out?. Though I thought eating vegan in Prague was not going to be easy based off my difficulty in Pilsen, but I was so wrong.
Prague immediately stole my heart. It was clean, interesting, and peppered with Kafka and David Cerny in every corner. My expectations for Prague to have delicious vegan food was pretty low, as I have gone to many larger cities and been wildly disappointed at the “vegan burger and doner” overtake. This was not the case. Prague had a wide variety of vegan food at various price points, all which felt reasonable for what was provided. Uncharacteristically, I even fell in love with a few places that I went back a few times during my week stay.
Prague is just simply ideal for people who:
- Are seeking reasonably priced vegan food in Europe
- Want a lot of variety
- Want breakfast options
- Enjoy the spectrum of junk food to health food
- Want to walk from place to place with no need for a car
- Enjoy architecture
- Have to get by speaking English
Share Sweet & Espresso Bar / Revoluční 18, 110 00 Nové Město, Czechia
I was in Prague little over a week, and I went here every single day it was open. I tried the whole menu and I can honestly say I loved everything – from the sweet to the savory. I did a reel, which shows all the breakfasts I ate in more detail.
This is the kind of place where I would move to the neighborhood just to make sure this place was part of my day. I loved it so much!

Koko organic / Biskupská 1753/5, 110 00 Petrská čtvrť, Czechia
Wow, I loved this place so much. We also went back here multiple times, forgoing trying new spots because we loved our meals so much. They are SO nice and it’s so delicious and quick.
I particularly loved the Sup Sua Dua appetizer soup, it was so flavorful.

Maitrea restaurace / Týnská ulička 1064/6, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia

I regret not taking more photos, but I did take grab some video before we devoured everything. I did a round on on my Instagram account where you can see everything we ate this week, and it included our meals here.
I particularly loved the decor and service. We had such a nice evening and delicious meal.
Herbivore / Rašínovo nábř. 409, 120 00 Nové Město, Czechia

There was a country charm about this place I don’t often see. It felt very homey and the food was really delicious. There is a tiny market where you can buy a few items, including an olive bar when we were this.
Country Life Restaurant / Melantrichova 15, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia
I got Country Life as a to-go on a rainy day and I didn’t expect much. Once again, I was humbled. Everything was delicious. I also got some items at the shop they own, which was super convenient for things we wanted to take on the road – including pre-made sandwiches and bakery items.
Kolacherie / Celetná 589/27, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia
My husband hadn’t had a kolachi in over a decade, so when we saw vegans ones, we jumped! The owner was super nice. We talked kolachi’s for a while and tasted a few of the sweet ones – and went back a few more times. They were delicious and the location is in the heart of a lot of sightseeing.
CHUTNEJ plant kitchen & café / Letohradská 755/50, 170 00 Praha 7-Holešovice, Czechia

A terrible photo of a great spot! Again, I was a bit video heavy (and maybe a bit too hungry to think straight) and made a reel of all the great vegan finds in Prague, including this gem.
I am so happy we were able to go to Chutney twice, and also grab some baked goods for the morning – everything was spectacular! The environment is super cute with tons of plants and the staff was really, really nice both times.
Chef & Co / Veleslavínova 93/10, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia
They have a yuba sandwich that I would go back to Prague for! I loved this spot. During our week, they had Tomato Fest happening, and I love tomatoes – so I really enjoyed it. We went twice and enjoyed everything from the fermented fries, to various tomato dishes, to the drool-worthy yuba sandwich.
PAPRIKA / Dukelských Hrdinů 906/48, 170 00 Praha 7-Holešovice, Czechia
Loved this spot and regret only going once. They have delicious Mediterranean menu and a knowledgeable staff that can wok you through it. I over ordered and ate for three meals. No regrets.
On My Short List for Next Time
I wish I was able to go everywhere, but honestly some of these places were too good and had such interesting menus, I did a lot more repeats than I usually do. That just means, I need to go back and try what I missed!
