No Cook Flavorful Vegan Feta Cubes

December 9, 2025
vegan feta recipe, no cook vegan feta recipe, quick vegan feta

Cheese, cheese, cheese, the biggest deterrent I hear why someone doesn't want to go vegan. I get it, it's wildly addictive and often comes in pretty packaging. It's hard to walk away from dairy cheese, because something about cheese makes most things taste better to most people and honestly, vegan cheese doesn't quite do the trick most of the time, but sometimes it does and it's magic. Things have gotten a lot better since I became vegan, and I think the trick is that when we want to replace che[...]

Vegan Mutabbal

August 31, 2022
Vegan Mutabbal | the vegan holiday | theveganholiday.com

Vegan Mutabbal We spent the summer in Italy, partially for work and partially for holiday. Though it seemed we worked most our trip, some work was more welcome than other. I did not think I would be leaving Italy with a vegan mutabbal recipe to share, but I am so happy it turned out that way. I always try to take a cooking class or course when we travel, and I was lucky enough to find the lovely Simona Zambetti of Vegan Pink Soul. Before we got cooking, we chatted for a few weeks[...]

Macadamia Crunch

November 3, 2021
macadamia crunch | vegan cheese snack | the vegan holiday | theveganholiday.com

Macadamia Crunch Do you like the tanginess of cheddar? Do you like the crunch of crackers? This vegan snack may be for you then. Macadamia crunch can be made raw (or not) and can be eaten as a snack, salad topper, or addition to a lovely charcuterie board. I personally snack on them and love them so much. I am making a batch a week at this point! You don't need a lot to make this macadamia snack, and it's not very difficult if you follow the tips I am about to outline for you. Also, feel[...]

Vegan Muhammara Cigars

October 13, 2021
vegan muhammara cigars

Perfectly Crispy Vegan Muhammara Cigars Sweet, savory, and completely addictive (sorry!), muhammara cigars are one of my favorite snacks. They are packed with delicious roasted vegetables and the sweet tang of pomegranate dip. Muhammara is usually served as a dip in a variety of consistencies and spice levels depending on where in the world you are. This takes the naturally vegan muhammara and brings it to a new level by adding a crunchy layer of filo and finishing it off with a twist of[...]

Sweet and Savory Tapenade

September 29, 2021
Cherry Olive Sweet and Savory Tapenade| The Vegan Holiday

Cherry Olive Tapenade Sweet and Savory Olive Tapenade This is not your typical black olive or green olive tapenade recipe. You will not be finely chopping olives or sun-dried tomatoes or using a food processor. You will pit the olives and cherries (yes, cherries!) and leave them halved and dice up the beets into perfect little squares - so prep time is important here if you want a uniformed look to your tapenade. I don't recommend a food processor for this recipe. What you are going to[...]

Caramelized Grapefruit with Candied Mint

March 27, 2021

<div data-sc-widget-id="P-5eca3ec6c09dd014eee705ac"></div><script async src="//widgets.shopstyle.com/shopstyle-widget-snippet.js"></script> Citrus! We love it in this house. Give it to us in any form and we will devour it! When we were in Belgium and at this tiny chocolate shop that happened to have vegan chocolate dipped orange full oranges with rinds, we were in totally heaven. You would think Holland would be as chocolate obsessed, they are not. The texture of those[...]

Offbeet Southsea is an absolute Portsmouth gem that served my favorite breakfast of our entire Brighton trip, and that’s saying something considering all the incredible spots we hit along the way. While it’s a bit of a stretch from Brighton (worth noting for trip planning), the journey is absolutely worthwhile, not only for Offbeet’s unique take on plant-based food but also to explore the charming seaside town of Portsmouth itself. I ordered the gluten-free Chorizo & Scramble Breakfast Taco, which was so phenomenally good that I couldn’t leave without grabbing a bag of their house-made scramble from the deli section to recreate it at home.📍Portsmouth, UK🌱 fully vegan☀️ I don’t recall outdoor seating

Nai Nai has clearly marked vegan options, which makes ordering super easy. The stand out dish is n°5, Tang cu qie zi. It’s this super crispy sweet and slightly spicy eggplant side that pairs well with No. 32, Cong You Mian5, and ramen noodle with chive oil and soy. They also have steamed vegetable buns, a vegan bowl and a tofu side which are all fantastic. It’s such a cute place to grab a bite that’s central enough in Bordeaux, but not in the high tourist areas.📍Bordeaux, France🍄 Vegan Options☀️ Takeaway windon on side of building

I discovered Paul Joly at the Green Market in Bordeaux, and I immediately fell in love with his booth. He’s known for intricate, delightful pâtisserie fine vegan desserts spanning from macarons and madeleines to elaborate Christmas logs and miniature works of art that look almost too beautiful to eat. What’s remarkable? Around 90% of his clients aren’t even vegan, they’re simply loyal customers who’ve been coming back for years because the quality speaks for itself. My favorite way to start market day is indulging in one of his savory offerings: galettes garnished with potato, vegan cheese, fresh herbs, and faux bacon, accompanied by a crisp side salad. It’s the perfect balance of comfort and elegance, proving that vegan food doesn’t have to choose between indulgence and sophistication. I think it’s wild to find this level of food at a green market, but hey, it’s France.Check @cuisinevegetalegourmande for rotating location at the green market📍Bordeaux, France🍄 fully vegan☀️Outdoor seating available at @greenmarketbordeaux

A modern trattoria serving traditional Emilian food, both vegan and non-vegan, on the outskirts of Modena. Trattoria Moderna offers delicious tortellini, tortelli, and tagliatelle that are hard to find elsewhere even when you get closer to the center of the city.Italy can sometimes struggle with vegan inclusivity, leaving plant-based travelers wishing they could experience authentic regional cuisine beyond marinara pasta. That’s what makes discovering a place like this so special, it bridges that gap beautifully.I ordered the tortellini in brodo, which was wonderfully simple and beyond delicious. The delicate pasta parcels floating in rich, flavorful broth captured everything I love about Emilian cooking. To start, we shared the vegan appetizer plate, which was equally excellent and showcased the kitchen’s attention to traditional flavors and techniques.📍Montale, Italy🍄 Vegan options☀️ A few outdoor seats

Tucked into a little nook at the end of the road, The Star Anise was buzzing every single morning we visited during our 10-day UK trip, and for good reason. This place serves what I consider the perfect breakfast, something surprisingly hard to find in a casual setting with well-executed vegan options. Plenty of places had vegan plates, but few did them this well. The space has an open, airy artist vibes with posters covering a corkboard advertising local events, and the crowd is a mix from young hipsters to wise locals. The simple menu is perfectly executed, and the staff are genuinely lovely. Each morning I ordered the breakfast plate, toast, mushrooms, beans, and grated tofu scramble (a new technique for me!) with either vegan butter or olive oil, plus their excellent in-house hot sauce on the side, alongside an oat latte. They also offer vegan croissants, energy balls, and lunch options worth exploring. The locals are truly lucky to have this gem!📍Stroud, UK🍄 not fully vegan but fully vegetarian☀️Outdoor seating available
